Today is my 18th birthday! I am legally an adult. I can: vote, get sued, handle legal documents, go to some clubs, by cigarettes, go to war, etc. I usually don’t feel any different than the day before I turn a certain age, but I guess the legal significance of this day for me certainly alters my state of mind. I wonder if today will knock some sense into my parents, and they’ll finally let me be a bit more independent…I doubt it though.
